Occurring this year on December 3, 2019, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
We are proud to announce that for the first time ever, we have joined #GivingTuesday—a movement to celebrate and provide incentives to give— on December 3, 2019. This effort harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners—nonprofits, businesses, and corporations as well as families and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.
To give back, our foundation will have ten new volunteers come in to work with our after-school book club. In addition to accepting on-line donations, we will also be selling special #GivingTuesday t-shirts (see below for details). All donations and proceeds will go towards our 2020 Film Camp. We will be selling our limited t-shirts for the week leading up to and ending on #GivingTuesday. These are one of a kind!
When you buy a shirt, you’ll know that all of the proceeds will go towards funding our #2k17FilmCamp. We will be able to provide more scholarships for campers, provide healthier snacks and lunches, as well as update some of our filmmaking equipment and gear.
