After receiving close to 80 entries from middle schoolers across the country, we are proud to announce that three students have received awards for their winning submissions in the 2015-2016 Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation Essay Contest.

The judging panel, which was comprised of Foundation Board Members as well as volunteers, was astounded and humbled by the variety of people chosen in the essays written by middle students from across the country.

The 2016 essay question asked students to give advice to someone – someone they know personally, a historical figure, or a famous person living today – and explain why this person needs their advice. All winning essays will be posted on this page in the near future.
